Proposed  REGIONAL CONFERENCE OF CHURCHES (RCC)

PURPOSE: 

To facilitate communication, build unity & expand community throughout the province.

 BOARD COMPOSITION:  3 per congregation

• 1 Clergy from each congregation
• 2 laypersons chosen by the method selected by each congregation

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Facilitate better communication within the province & among congregations.
   
• Serve as a resource for input to the Board of Cooperative Ministries (BCM) on local congregation's needs & perspectives in order to enable the BCM to provide practical & professional help.
   
• Promote ownership, interaction & participation in shared ministries as defined by Synod priorities & direction.
   
• Promote sharing of strengths, gifts, assets & best practices of each congregation.
   
• Identify & facilitate connection for initiatives arising across the Conference's churches
   
• Identify & recommend candidates for provincial appointments & assist in their recruitment.
