A congregation is a Christian community in which individuals can respond to the love of God in Jesus Christ by growing in their love of God, in their discipleship as followers of Jesus Christ, & in their love & service toward others.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop within its life the characteristics of a healthy congregation, to include the characteristics of a healthy congregation, the strategies determined by Synod & the resulting goals & objectives developed by the PEC.
Actively participate with other Moravians in the province & in the Regional Conferences of Churches.
Actively serve in the local community & the church worldwide
Seek to fulfill its purpose, role & responsibilities by supporting the efforts of pastors & lay leaders.
Members of the congregation are called to participate actively in opportunities for worship, study & service in the congregation, region & province, supporting the ministry of the church through providing time, talent and treasure.
Pastors & representatives to the Regional Conference of Churches (RCC) have the responsibility of fostering the active involvement of their members in the life of the province & of the Regional Conference.
