Proposed  BOARD OF COOPERATIVE MINISTRIES (BCM)

PURPOSE: 

To provide support to both congregations & the Regional Conference of Churches (RCC) to develop & maintain a high level of health & growth.

BOARD COMPOSITION:  13 members (estimated)

• 1 representative from each Regional Conference of Churches (6 estimated)
• Equal number appointed by PEC (6 estimated)
• PEC President serves as a voting member

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Develop and implement specific ministries as directed by PEC in support of Synod's strategic vision.
   
• Recommend staffing needs, structure & professional staff for call or appointment to the PEC.
   
• Recommend special commissions, committees & task forces, including recommendations for appointment, to the PEC.
   
• Measure & report effectiveness & results of plan implementation & action to the PEC.
   
• Promote, facilitate & assist as requested in ministries initiated by the congregation. 
   
• To maintain a high level of effectiveness of the staff charged with assisting congregations, RCC groups & leaders within the province, seeking to foster congregation health & growth.
